Travis Cryan, MS, CEM
Strategic Advisor
Travis’s work is focused on strategic, governance, and customer service delivery for ASMI clients and the company as a strategic advisor. He also streamlines effectiveness across the company and client portfolios by leveraging simple project and organizational management principles. With 25 years of experience in different aspects of public safety and emergency preparedness, Travis supports the leadership of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) and the IAEM Certification Program. His early experience was as a paramedic working in multiple environments ranging from urban to austere. He also has served as the program manager for a healthcare coalition and coordinated enterprise-level emergency management for Duke Energy. From 2019-2022, he worked for the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency as the training and exercise program manager and in special projects for the Office of the Chief of Staff. Travis spent two years as a principal consultant for Bent Ear Solutions, where he helped public and private sector organizations better leverage and integrate their processes and technology investments. He holds the CEM credential and has been an active member of IAEM since 2011, serving in numerous leadership roles, including vice chair of the Government Affairs Committee. Travis holds a BA in Emergency Management from American Military University and an MS in Management and Leadership from Western Governor University. He joined ASMI in 2024.
