Project Director

With a decade of experience in association leadership and emergency management, Chelsea serves as assistant executive director for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), where she supports oversight of the staff team and manages governance, strategic planning, and the creation of the annual budget process for the organization.

Chelsea has worked in all area’s of IAEM’s scope, during which she led an AMS and website implementation, built volunteer and professional development programs, improved the Certification program, supported federal grant budget development, and launched the IAEM Think Tank series, which earned more than 2 million social media impressions per session.

In parallel, as a Program Director at Association & Society Management International (ASMI), Chelsea established ASMI’s staff onboarding program and guided its transition to Microsoft Teams. She also coordinates annual staff wellness events.

Chelsea began her career at ASMI as the Whole Community Project Manager for a FEMA-funded initiative assessing spontaneous volunteer engagement in disasters, successfully managing a $300K project and delivering all federal contract requirements on time and within scope.

She received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Villanova University in 2014. In 2015, she received her M.S. in Healthcare Emergency Management from Boston University.
