Dia Gainor has been selected by the American Ambulance Association for the inaugural 2023 Vanguard Award. The Vanguard Award celebrates a diverse group of dedicated women who have made significant contributions to mobile healthcare for 35 or more years. Dia is one of 23 women to receive this award.
Dia’s career proves that EMS is anything but a steppingstone. Her determination and steadfast commitment to prehospital care has carried her from paramedic and firefighter to Idaho’s EMS Director, to Executive Director of NASEMSO.
