ASMI Staff Member Contributes to National Research on Prehospital Pediatric Readiness

January 2026 – Association and Society Management International, ASMI, is proud to recognize Rachael Alter for her recent and upcoming contributions to national research advancing prehospital pediatric readiness.

Rachael Alter is the author of a newly published manuscript in Prehospital Emergency Care titled “Establishing Quality Measures for the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project.”

In addition, three more papers will be published in the coming months:

  • “The National Pediatric Prehospital Readiness Project: First Comprehensive Assessment of United States Emergency Medical Services Agencies,” accepted by Annals of Emergency Medicine.
  • “Longitudinal Evaluation Use of a Multi-Modal Toolkit to Support Prehospital Pediatric Readiness,” accepted by the International Journal of Paramedicine and scheduled for publication in April.
  • “Advancing Prehospital Pediatric Readiness: Formation and Future Directions of the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project,” accepted by Prehospital Emergency Care, with Rachael serving as lead author.

ASMI congratulates Rachael on these accomplishments and appreciates her continued leadership and contributions to the EMS and pediatric readiness communities. Rachael is a project manager and is the staff liaison for the National Association of EMS Officials (an ASMI client) Pediatric Emergency Care Council.
